Dear Sir/Madam As farmers/producers since 1880, the Maravelias family produces annually a crop of fine extra virgin olive oil, with an oleic acidity between 0.3% and up to 0.5% maximum, totaling 5,000 to 50,000 liters of extra virgin olive oil annually and the opportunity to access and deliver many more thousands of liters. We have decided to expand abroad, so other countries (like the USA) can enjoy this fine extra virgin olive oil. The 2 varieties of olive trees that we have in our fields are: “Athinoelia” and “Koreneiki”, which are both very rich in aroma and flavor. This extra virgin olive oil is produced and pressed in Xifia Laconia, in the local district of the Municipality of Monemvasia Greece, in the Peloponnese. The blend of the olive oil that is prepared is strictly from chosen Koreneiki and also Athinoelia olive fruit trees, from our area. We don’t mix them with others varieties of olives. The delicate process of extraction is done at low temperatures and within an ideal time of treatment rendering an excellent result. The main treatment results in an extra virgin olive oil that maintains the juice of the olive fruit with intense fruity flavor and very low indicators of oleic acidity. The olive press factory follows the rules the HACCP delimit according to the model ISO 2200:2005. All the storage containers are stainless steel (INOX) and the containers of transport (5L, 15L or 70L) are certified according to the ISO model. The olive press factory and hygiene standards are also in accordance with these rules. The process of harvesting olive fruits has been a traditional method for many years. The olive trees are gently vibrated in sections with rakes in order to have the olive fruit fall off the tree, and then the olive fruit is assembled into bags. The process of the extraction is done immediately following the harvest, so that the olive fruit is not subject to warm temperatures and so that the olive fruit is not matured any further. The storage of olive oil of our choice is conserved in big reservoirs of stainless steel (INOX). The olive oil is unrefined, thus, no use of filters, in order to maintain the fruity flavor of the olive oil. The process of packing is also done in a specifically designed space that contains the proper storage containers and the means of standardization. Our basic objective is to maintain the highest quality of our extra virgin olive oil and guarantee the reliability of its deliverance to our customers.
