MOTOGEN Company, established in 1973, started its activity by the name of GOLD ELECTRIC to manufacture evaporative air conditioner electromotors under license of the American WESTING-HOUSE by mutual investment of Sanaat o Maadan Bank and Industrial Development and Renovation Organization of Iran (IDRO Group). The company is located in the West industrial zone of Tabriz city. In 1975, after purchasing the shares of this company from IDRO Group, the name changed to MOTOGEN. In 1985, MOTOGEN started to manufacture industrial electromotors up to 18.5 KW under IEC and DIN standards in single and three-phase types. In 1990, MOTOGEN changed from a private Joint Stock to a public Joint Stock. Hevy Duty (2.2 - 630 KW) and Explosion Proof Electromotors (up to 7.5KW) were respectively added to the basket.
