The cross beam of the scraper conveyer is long strip in appearance and has threaded hole. The whole length, center distance and width of thread hole are different for different types of beam, and the matching bolts and nuts are also different.

Installation position

The function of the beam of scraper conveyor is equivalent to that of E-type and U-type bolts, which mainly fix the scraper through single-head bolts to form the chain of scraper. In the middle trough, the chain scraper chain is driven by the sprocket shaft group to do circular movement to complete the coal transport.

The production process

Most scraper conveyor beam material is 40Cr. There are two main production techniques for the beam of the scraper conveyor: forging and casting. Casting is the casting of molten metal liquid poured into the mold, cooling and solidifying to obtain the desired shape and performance of the parts. Casting is a common manufacturing method in mechanical manufacturing. But the products produced by casting process may have cracks, pores, slag holes, sand holes, shrinkage holes and so on. Forging can avoid the loose phenomenon in the casting process and optimize the metal structure. Forged parts have better strength and toughness. Therefore, the mechanical properties of forgings are better than those of castings of the same material.

As the transmission parts of the scraper conveyor, the cross beam is connected with bolts, which has large load, severe working conditions and easy wear and tear.
