On the West Coast of South Africa, 30km from Clanwilliam, lies a farm which, in the early 1800s, was known as Seaton Location, bought in 1855 by the De Beer family and changed to Lambertshoek. Here the production of Rooibos is as much a part of life as the Englishman's mountain overlooking the fields. Maret, a pharmacist by profession, married Sybrand de Beer, the 4th generation Rooibos-farmer on Lambertshoek, in 2018. Together they started dreaming of packaging and marketing their own Rooibos tea, instead of delivering it in bulk to the local Rooibos wholesaler. In 2020 their dream became a reality and Seaton and Lamb (Pty) Ltd was born, bringing together not only the names of this farm throughout centuries ('Seaton' honoring the late Englishman, and 'Lamb' abbreviated from Lambertshoek) but also the knowledge and wisdom, passed on by generations, to bring you the richest, purest quality Rooibos tea you would ever taste. It is from these images of vast Rooibos lands, skillfully cultivated through the ages, that the name 'Lea' was born - the Old English word for arable land.
