Genetically modified organism (GMO) refers to organisms whose genetic material has been modified or altered in a laboratory through genetic engineering. As a result, combinations of plant, animal, bacterial or virus genes are created that do not occur in nature or through traditional cross breeding methods. Since 2012, STC has become a laboratory designated by Certification and Accreditation Administration of the People’s Republic of China (CNCA) for China Compulsory Certification (CCC) testing.
