Dear Sir/Madam, We are looking for CEM 1 instead of CEM II Portland Cement as specified by EN 197-1 with a strength class 42,5/52.5N cement to be shipped to Seychelles in 25/ 50 kg cement bags. However due to local regulations cement needs to be in compliance to British Standard BS 12 (now replaced by BS EN 197-1). In order to ensure that the cement to be imported complies with all the requirements of the EN 197-1, we would require a proof of conformity through the submission of Declaration of Conformity certificate or Certificate of Conformity issued by a third party which confirm compliance of the cement. We would be grateful if you could provide information on the specs of the packaging of the cement bags such as is it water soluble, as we require Cement that can stay in storage for a while without hardening especially taking note that cargo may take a month or more to reach Mahe,Victoria Port in Seychelles.Moreover if the packaging is in pp bags,are the inner walls plastic or paper lined? Can you equally advise on how many layers of the walls of packaging and how long can the cement be kept in storage without hardening . For the first consignment we are seeking a 20 ft container.How much of 50 kg bags can a 20ft container accommodate?Kindly advise on your CIF quote. Additionally advise on the terms and conditions of payment and on the delay of time once order is placed and payment is settled to reach designated port Mahe,Victoria.Will it be possible to order a sample of 25 kg bag to be air freighted We can cover the cost if required.
