I am a producer of iron oxide Fe3O3 & Fe3O4 (density: 3400 kg/m3 and granule size: 0.1 mm to 0.8 mm). It is a byproduct of an acid regeneration plant (ARP) with a fluidized bed reactor, and it is commonly used in industries like steel production to regenerate spent acid (such as hydrochloric acid) used in pickling processes. During acid regeneration, iron oxide (FeO₃) is produced as a by-product. Here's an overview of the process and the by-product utilization: 1. Reaction in the Fluidized Bed Reactor: Spent acid is thermally decomposed in a fluidized bed furnace.
