About DEPEARL

DEPEARL farms the pearl in the East Oceans of Indonesia, specifically the beautiful island of Maluku. Pearl is formed from an irritant of an oyster called Mollusc Pinctada. It coats the irritant and creates layers until a pearl is formed. It is a fact that the largest producer of the South Sea pearl is in Indonesia. Indonesia has the perfect oceanic habitat for Pinctada Maxima oysters which produce pearls with white, silver and gold colour. On the other hand, the black pearl comes from Tahiti.
