Optica Fukui, headquartered in Sabae City, Japan, is recognized as a leader in manufacturing the world's highest quality spectacle frames and sunglasses. Customers include importers, wholesalers, and major retail chains around the world. In 1980, Optica Fukui introduced metal frames with spring hinges first in the U.S. optical marketplace. This innovation was well accepted and earned a high reputation. Many models exceeded million pieces in sales. In 1985, Optica Fukui introduced all stainless steel frames first in the U.S. and all cobalt frames in Europe optical marketplaces. Before our titanium gets popularity, these have long been the most lightweight and durable frame materials.
