Cashew nuts are kidney shaped seed of Anacardinum Occidentale. Cashew consist of the stalk which is 2 to 4 inches long called the drupe. The stem is juicy pulp and fibrous but it's the false fruit. The real fruit is enclosed in the nut which is attached at the end of the stalk or stem it is 1 inch long. The outer shell harbours the cashew which is whole white/ off while heart shaped and meaty. The cashew is marketed as whole, powdered, roasted or salted.
Uses
Cashew is mixed in coury and Indian dishes. It is added to deserts, confectioneries. Roasted Cashew can be eaten alone as snacks.
